Welcome to the official website for Chinchilla State School. Our school is a very vibrant and prosperous school which has been on quite a journey over recent years.
Chinchilla State School has a diverse range of students and staff, having approximately 450 students and 60 staff. Our school has a strong focus on educational achievement, well-being and engagement and culture and inclusion. In 2024, we will pay particular attention to aligning our reading practices to the state-wide reading statement and familiarising our staff with the changes to the Australian Curriculum in English and Maths to be implemented in 2025.
Our school values - Learning, Respect, Responsibility, Belonging and Safety - are paramount to student success. We are also a Positive Behaviour for Learning school, which means we can carefully and strategically monitor student behaviour and success, and we analyse school-wide trends, positively reinforce our values, expectations and supportive learning environment for all students.
Chinchilla State School has a very supportive Parent and Citizens Association, who proudly work alongside the school principal, staff and students. Our school vision statement is "All children learning to the best of their abilities".
